Top Turkish Verbs & Suffix Mechanics
Turkish is a beautifully mathematical, agglutinative language. Rather than memorizing irregular tables, verbs are formed by stacking suffixes onto a root according to strict Vowel Harmony (รnlรผ Uyumu).
๐ The Turkish Agglutinative Formula
Every Turkish conjugated verb follows a modular train of suffixes:
[ROOT] +
(Negation -me/-ma) +
(Tense Suffix) +
[Person Suffix]
Example: gel (come) + mi (not) + yor (present -ing) + um (I) = "Gelmiyorum" (I am not coming).
